ABA Bank and Cambodia Trade Enterprise Partner to Support Cambodian Exporters
12/Jun/2026
ABA Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambodia Trade Enterprise (CTE), an initiative managed by the Ministry of Commerce, to strengthen Cambodia’s export sector and improve access to financing for local businesses seeking to expand into international markets.
Through this partnership, ABA Bank will provide tailored financing solutions and assess funding applications from Cambodian exporters, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) supported by CTE. The collaboration aims to help businesses increase production capacity, strengthen competitiveness, and seize new opportunities beyond Cambodia’s borders.
The MoU signing ceremony took place on 12 June at the Ministry of Commerce. It was attended by Askhat Azhikhanov, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABA Bank, and Kim Sreyroth, Chief Executive Officer of CTE, together with representatives from both organizations.
As part of the event, Theam Romny, Chief External Affairs Officer at ABA Bank, joined a panel discussion on “Advancing Future-Ready Farm-to-Market Connectivity for Cambodian Products”. During the discussion, she highlighted the important role of accessible financing in helping businesses scale their operations, improve product quality, and expand their presence in global markets.
With a comprehensive range of business loans and trade finance solutions, ABA Bank remains committed to supporting Cambodian enterprises throughout their growth journey – from working capital needs and production expansion to export activities and international trade.
This partnership supports the Royal Government of Cambodia’s efforts to promote exports, strengthen local industries, and drive sustainable economic growth. By combining CTE’s trade development initiatives with ABA Bank’s financial expertise, the collaboration will create new opportunities for Cambodian businesses to compete and succeed on the international stage.
