ABA Bank reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian activities for the local communities by announcing its additional support of $100,000 to the Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA).

With the culmination of a signed MoU in 2023, pledging a total of $300,000 for the period of 2023-2025, it solidifies the bank's continuous commitment to supporting TYDA and its relentless efforts to offer free medical treatment and healthcare services to communities countrywide.

On 24 July 2024, the donation handover meeting was presided over by the Chief Executive Officer of TYDA Dr. Sou Syphanna, the Chief Executive Officer of ABA Bank Askhat Azhikhanov, and members of the ABA and TYDA teams.

"We are delighted that TYDA regularly invites ABA staff to participate in their missions, allowing them to directly help people and experience the impact of their efforts. Supporting charitable organizations like TYDA aligns perfectly with our values, as it bolsters the Royal Government's development strategy to improve the well-being of the country and its people," Askhat Azhikhanov commented during the meeting.

"To demonstrate our strong commitment, we signed an MOU extending the Bank's support for another $100,000 annually for three consecutive years starting in 2023. Today's meeting marks our second year of this support with another $100,000 aid," he added.

"We would like to extend our utmost appreciation to ABA Bank for its generous donation, enabling us to provide free health check-ups and treatments to many Cambodians. We look forward to ABA's continued support of our mission, and we appreciate their staff's active participation in many of our events," said Dr. Sou Syphanna.

ABA Bank has been actively supporting TYDA's Free Health Check-up and Treatment Day activities and other humanitarian projects for the past years to help improve the well-being of the country and its people. Together, ABA and TYDA aspire to build a brighter future for Cambodia, ensuring equitable access to essential healthcare services and fostering a healthier, more resilient nation.
