ABA takes part in ABC's tree planting and school renovation activity in Takeo

ABA Bank, Cambodia's largest commercial bank1, became a proud sponsor of the Tree-Planting Ceremony and School Renovation project organized by the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) on 21 June 2024. The event was held at Sattharam Primary School in Takeo Province.

The event was attended by ABC's representatives, the staff of the ABA Takeo Branch, and other guests.

The event concluded with significant achievements – two school buildings were painted and renovated, and a new entrance gate was built, improving the educational environment for students and teachers. In addition, the participants planted 200 trees, enhancing the greenery within the school grounds.

Meas Khemra, ABA Takeo Branch Manager, expressed his appreciation during the event: "Many rural schools in Takeo still need renovation. This project, which includes refurbishing the school infrastructure and tree planting, is a great initiative in ensuring the quality of education and a greener environment for students in Tarong Village."

The event played a significant role in promoting the implementation of sustainable finance principles and corporate social responsibility in Cambodia. Not only does it align with ABA Bank's principle of giving back to the community, but it also paves the way for students to have proper access to education, further enhancing their quality of life.
