Promoting a cleaner environment: ABA Bank supports World Cleanup Day 2024

ABA Bank is proud to sponsor and actively contribute to the 7th annual World Cleanup Day. This global movement aims to combat the growing issue of waste pollution, promote environmental knowledge, and send a message to the international community “Clean Cambodia, Khmer Can Do It!”.

This year event was held on 21 September 2024 at the Techo Meas Techo Yat Park along the Tonle Sap River and organized by the River Ocean Cleanup with strong support from various government representatives and related ministries.

Under the theme “Waste-Free World”, the event garnered many volunteers, including ABA Bank staff from 6 branches, who contributed their time and energy to cleaning the riverfront.

Aside from the city center, the event was also held nationwide, targeting 1 million volunteers in 1 day and highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts between the government, private sectors, and individuals in addressing environmental challenges and fostering a culture of sustainability.

ABA's active participation in World Cleanup Day is part of its broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability and community engagement. By supporting this initiative, the Bank hopes to inspire the public to take action to protect the environment and foster a cleaner and healthier future for all.
