Job Description

To lead and manage financial reporting team to ensure all reports are fully complied with the requirements from National bank of Cambodia, National Bank of Canada, Cambodian International Financial Reporting Standards, and other related associations and authorities as well as to produce error-free reports by preparing, tracking, analysing, examining resource usage, cash flow, business performance and financial statements across the Bank.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure all financial reports adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and CIFRSs standard practices with proper and organized templates. 
  • Generate error-free reports by preparing, tracking, analysing, examining resource usage, cash flow, business performance and financial statements. 
  • Analyse the movement of the balance sheet item and profit and loss item from one period to another and report to Head of Department for any unreasonable movement.
  • Review audit reports and SECC reports submitted by team members.
  • Closely review and monitor the financial reports from team members.
  • Participate in the new product testing and launch to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Work with IT team and other relevant departments to design automation tools and financial reporting workflows to streamline daily tasks and eliminate manual processes. 
  • Delegate tasks to the team members, monitor and control the progress of work in order to ensure productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and timely reporting. 
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Reporting Department to initiate suggestions in order to enhance internal procedures and practice of financial reporting processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on the required financial reporting during the audit fieldwork.
  • Keep up to date on the report’s laws and regulations required by local authorities or group and communicate them to management for discussion and approval. 
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Specifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance and accounting, Business Administration, management, and/or other related fields, or CAT or ACCA qualification, is an advantage.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Finance and Accounting preferably in Big Four accounting firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard, and Internal Auditing Standard.
  • Excellent reconciling and reporting skills.
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to propose ideas for improvement.
  • Ability to communicate and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to use and communicate both Khmer and English.
  • Ability to analyse information and processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, urgency, attention to detail, and corporate nimbleness.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office, Accounting & Finance Application and Bank’s software.
