Enhancing​ financial​ knowledge​ for​ MSMEs:​ ABA​ sponsors​ Access​ to​ Finance​ Program​ 2024

ABA​ became​ a​ Diamond​ Sponsor​ of​ the​ Access​ to​ Finance​ Program​ (AFP)​ 2024​ co-organized​ by​ the​ Young​ Entrepreneurs​ Association​ of​ Cambodia​ (YEAC),​ the​ Association​ of​ Banks​ in​ Cambodia​ (ABC),​ and​ the​ Cambodian​ Microfinance​ Association​ (CMA).​ The​ Program​ is​ designed​ to​ promote​ financial​ literacy/financial​ inclusion​ and​ raise​ awareness​ on​ Khmer​ Riel​ among​ young​ entrepreneurs​ and​ micro-,​ small​ and​ medium-sized​ enterprises​ (MSMEs).

On​ 7​ October​ 2024,​ the​ three​ associations​ held​ the​ MSMEs​ and​ Financial​ Night,​ gathering​ over​ 250​ entrepreneurs.​ The​ meeting​ has​ become​ an​ opportunity​ for​ entrepreneurs​ who​ own​ businesses​ in​ all​ sectors​ to​ connect​ with​ financial​ institutions​ in​ Cambodia​ to​ exchange​ views​ and​ understand​ each​ other's​ needs.

At​ the​ event,​ ABA's​ Chief​ External​ Affairs​ Officer​ –​ Regional​ Manager,​ Ms.​ Theam​ Romny,​ presented​ best​ practices​ related​ to​ digital​ solutions​ for​ SMEs​ who​ need​ access​ to​ finance.

ABA​ also​ set​ up​ a​ dedicated​ booth​ staffed​ by​ its​ well-trained​ team​ to​ provide​ insights​ into​ the​ Bank’s​ financial​ products​ and​ services,​ focusing​ on​ loan​ offerings,​ primarily​ targeting​ MSMEs.

ABA​ remains​ dedicated​ to​ supporting​ initiatives​ that​ drive​ MSMEs’​ growth​ through​ financial​ accessibility​ and​ gain​ valuable​ business-related​ knowledge​ that​ will​ enable​ them​ to​ develop​ to​ their​ fullest​ capacities.
